Online reading for publishers

Your books, read online under your own name.

our.ink gives each publisher a protected online library on its own domain. Readers highlight and take notes; you decide who reads which book, and for how long.

Features

What publishers and readers get today

Your domain, your brand

Each publisher has its own reader site with its name, colours and fonts, on its own domain with automatic HTTPS. our.ink appears only as a small "Powered by" line.

Protected reading

Pages are sent as images with a watermark for each reader. The PDF never leaves the server, and page views are logged and rate-limited.

Highlights and notes

Readers mark passages and write notes on any page, then find them again in a sidebar and in a list for each book.

Access you control

Readers can have access to a publisher's whole library or to single books. Every grant shows how it was given and when it ends, and you can end it at any time.

Reviewer invitations

Instead of printed review copies, send a link for 30, 60 or 90 days of reading. A link can be for one person or a group, and can be switched off.

Reader feedback

Readers rate the book and send comments from the page they are on, and say whether you may quote them.

Publisher console

Owners, admins and editors for each publisher. Upload books in four image quality levels, and manage readers, members and access.

Separate by design

Each publisher's books and readers are kept apart in the database itself, with row-level security, not only in the application.

Reachable in China

No Google fonts, analytics or scripts: everything loads from our own server. A Simplified Chinese reader interface is in development.
